Introduction to knitting - Beginner module

Level: Beginner - no pre-requisites

When: Thursday evenings from January 9 to 30 at 6:30 p.m.

Wednesday evenings from January 22 to February 12 at 6:30 p.m.
                             

 duration: 4 X 2 hours

In this course developed exclusively for knitters and beginners, we will use straight needles to tame knitting, one stitch at a time.

The concepts covered in this course include: stitching, knit stitch - garter stitch, reverse stitch - jersey stitch. Then we will see how to cast off the stitches and tuck in the threads. Then, to diversify our works, we will make a selvedge stitch, rice stitch, wheat stitch, we will experiment with color changes and learn to read a pattern, following a model of simple slippers.

At the end of the four lessons, you will go home with samples of reusable make-up remover pads of various points and all the concepts necessary to attack your next project.

Materials provided:

1 pair of 4.5mm straight bamboo needles and one of 5.5mm, 2 balls of thread cotton50 gr each, 1 bale of yarn Merino, a row counter, 2 stitch markers and a finishing needle.

All classes are held at the La Bobineuse boutique located at 2196 Mont-Royal Ave Est, at the corner of Parthenais Street.

Places are limited and classes fill up quickly so don't wait! The cost of the course must be paid in full at the time of registration. Registrations are final and will only be refunded in the event of cancellation by us. If you are unable to attend your course, please notify us at least 72 hours in advance so that we can transfer your registration to another date. If you notify us less than 72 hours before the start of the course, we will be unable to move your registration.
